EtsyStory: This summer I was making all kinds of skirts for myself, because I couldn't find anything I liked in the stores. Every time I went out I would get compliments and my friends kept saying, "You need to sell your skirts!" I finally decided I was going to start a yahoo shop and only sell clothes when someone bought them. Then my friend Halee said, "WAIT! I just read about this really cool place online called Etsy in WIRED. Check it out!" The funny thing was that when browsing Ebay the week before I ended up inside Etsy. The entire time I was thinking. Hmm... I wonder if people look at this site and buy stuff here? Well, the Wired article really helped me make up my mind. I posted stuff online and even decided to go to local boutiques and try to sell my wares! Well, it's working! And now when I go out and people say, "Cute dress!" I say, "You could have one too! Check out my Etsy shop!"
