At the time of writing my Etsy story is just unfolding. I started listing items for sale a few short months ago, in August 2006. I was very quickly surprised by something selling before I had a chance to do any sort of promotion ... and then something else ... and so on.

Once I got stuck into promoting and networking I realised I actually enjoy it (something I didn't expect!), started meeting lots of lovely and interesting people and started seeing a lot of interest being generated in my work and that paying off in lots of different ways beyond Etsy.

So I quickly became very enthused about Etsy and could see a lot of potential for it to play a fairly substantial role in helping me get to where I want to be - working entirely for myself doing the mixture of things I most want to do. Plus it's giving me the confidence to push myself in other areas as well, which is great.
